Good for Patients. Good for Practice.

Comprehensive Blood Pressure Analysis with Welch Allyn ABPM

When Bloomfield Internists needed an ambulatory blood pressure monitoring solution that would improve staff workflow and efficiency while providing a better patient experience, the practice turned to Welch Allyn.

Pulse Wave Velocity and Central Blood Pressure—Why It's Important

Studies show that measuring aortic pulse wave velocity and central blood pressure provides greater indication of potential heart attack and stroke than the blood pressure value taken on the upper arm alone.

The Welch Allyn ABPM 7100 has optional pulse wave analysis (PWA) and central blood pressure—using pulse wave analysis technology to help you more accurately detect cardiovascular risk and subclinical organ damage.

Pulse wave velocity measurements are not available in the U.S.

Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring

The New Standard for Office-Based Hypertension Diagnosis

The US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) has issued a draft recommendation supporting annual blood pressure screening in at-risk patients using an ABPM device prior to prescribing hypertension medication.

"The task force concluded that ambulatory blood pressure monitoring should be the 'reference standard' for confirming office-based diagnosis."
